Situated near Bakewell and owned by the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, Chatsworth has thousands of visitors every year. Chatsworth House has been labelled the 'Palace of the Peak' and features more than 30 rooms, a large library and a magnificent collection of paintings.

The house, garden and farmyard are open from 25th March - 10th November. The acre park and the farmshop and its restaurant are open all year round. Today, Chatsworth contains works of art that span 4, years, from ancient Roman and Egyptian sculpture, and masterpieces by Rembrandt, Reynolds and Veronese, to work by outstanding modern artists, including Lucian Freud, Edmund de Waal and David Nash. Please note that we do not allow prams, pushchairs or rucksack style baby carriers in the house; side and front baby carriers are welcome.
Please also note that we only allow small bags in the house. Storage is available in the left luggage room near the house entrance. Everything you can buy at Chatsworth — from food and drink to books and china — reflects the exceptional quality of the house, collection and estate.
